About the Artist

Ashot is a Californian painter whose landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes capture and celebrate the unique, special beauty of California and Europe.

Hailed as a child prodigy, he quickly attracted the attention of leading artists, but remained essentially self-taught. He has been painting for more than sixty years.

In 1990, after a successful early career in business, fashion and the film industry, Ashot moved to San Francisco in order to devote himself entirely to painting. His œuvre has kept pace with the spirit of the eighties, nineties and naughties, and continues to do so today. It is both modern and timeless.

Since 2003, he has been exclusively represented by Gallery 1870 in Yountville, California.
